Ticket Buying Advice

Have you ever had a bad ticket experience when purchasing events to a show? Whether it’s through primary sources such as ticketmaster, or secondary sources that compromise various ticket brokers and street sellers, problems can arise. So here are a few tips to help ease the pain and frustration.

Since ticketmaster is the original source for most events, problems are minimal. When purchasing tickets through ticketmaster make sure that you have your credit card, and all of it’s billing address info ready. Ticketmaster is simple to use but because it runs on timers, you can sometimes lose your tickets if too much time is taken entering information! This is very important especially when the event has just gone onsale and 1 million other fans are trying to buy the same event.

When buying through ticketbrokers, the buying experience can be a little more trivial, but with companies like ticketamerica.com worries can be virtually eliminated. Here is a list of things to look for when purchasing through ticketbrokers:

1. Make sure that the company has been in business for at least 2 years.
2. Check to see if they are a member in goodstanding with the Better Business Bureau or the National Association of Ticketbrokers.
3. Make sure they have a physical office with an 800# where a live agent can be reached.
4. See what ticket guarantees they offer to insure your ticket purchase.

When buying from street sellers, be careful!!! Most street sellers are simply trying to hustle a fast buck. They basically try to buy low from people with extra tickets and then resell them at a profit. They may also be ticket brokers that are selling any extra tickets that did not previously sell. Worst of all there are the theives. These little rats are basically selling fake tickets to unsuspecting fans! Here are a couple of tips when buying tickets on the street:

1. Look at the tickets front and back, making sure their is print on both sides.
2. Make sure that there is some slight sheen appearence and feel to the tickets.
3. Check to make sure that all the info on the ticket is correct, such as Date, Time, and consecutive seat #’s.
4. Have the ticket seller walk with you to the gate entrace and verify ticket authenticity.

If you have any questions regarding a ticket purchase or need an opinion about buying tickets, feel free to contact our office.

Poker for the Masses

“You’ve got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them.” Cards have been an ongoing attraction for young and old for generations. Poker has recently hit the charts and become its own world of entertainment. Casino poker, home based poker parties, television poker and online poker all offer interactive card play â€" the same but different. Once reserved for small groups of men in a smoked filled room at the back of a bar, poker is now much more in the mainstream. Poker audiences are starting to challenge the popularity of other sports such as golf, billiards and tennis. The thrill of poker is that one day you’re average and the next day you could be very special. To win at cards, especially poker, takes a mixture of ingredients: skill, memory, concentration, luck, finesse, endurance and stamina. Whether you’re playing online, a friendly game around your card table or with a league, poker is fun! Learning some poker tips may prove to be helpful. Sitting for lengthy periods of time requires stamina, good posture, core strength, and concentration. Good nutrition and fitness are essential. Staying physically fit will also keep you mentally sharp and alert. Patience is a key ingredient. A great poker player will learn to wait for the “good cards” to come when the hands are just not going his or her way. Have you heard the expression “poker face”? In all actuality a “poker face” is referring to the expression not just on your face but also in your eyes. Sunglasses may look odd or cool or just plain goofy, but they cover up the emotions that the eyes express. You don’t want to lose that perfect hand because of the twinkle in your eye. In the game of poker, to be really good, you truly do need to know when you are losing and accept when it is time to stop. Learn “when to hold and when to fold.” Poker is entertaining, develops concentration, and leaves some room for “Lady Luck” to share the wealth. This rage about poker is just getting started!

Wrestling...Is it real?

Of course it is. I know everyone can argue that the storylines are fake and all that blood isn't real. And you are right. The secret to wrestling is that yes it is scripted, the winners are chosen before the match, but the violence you see is semi-real. They hit each other with real chairs, they do break real tables. Don't believe me? Go to a live wrestling match. Depending on which wrestling organization you go to, they might even take the chair you're sitting in and hit their opponents with it.

Yes the rings have some give to them, especially in the center, that's why you usually see a wrestler slammed into the center of the ring. Of course you have the wrestlers that fight outside of the ring and get slammed on auditorium floors. How do they prepare for the beatings? Easy, a lot of it is choreograhed. When a wrestler gets slammed he's not slammed down with force (usually) and he's basically being dropped "nicely".

If wrestling was fake why would there be so many injuries throughout the industry? The answer is because it's a grueling job. Some aspects are considered "fake" and most of it is exaggerated, but as a whole it's not fake. These people are real athletes and put their bodies through a lot of punishment on a weekly (if not more often) basis.

Personally I like it because it amuses me, and I see it as a male soap opera. The story lines are intriguing at times, but I watch it for the fun and athleticism. If you're not a fan you should give it a shot and watch it for a couple of weeks, there has to be a reason why so many people of so many ages, races and sexes watch it.

Five Ways Proving How Great Internet Bingo Is

Online bingo has taken the world by storm - conveniently available right at your fingertips so you’ll never have to leave home again to play at bingo halls. There’s the added advantage of meeting people from around the world instead of only socialising with your fellow bingo hall players. Here’s why online bingo is top of my list:

1. Online Bingo Is Available â€" Everywhere

2. Online Bingo Is Social

Online bingo is extremely social, more so than traditional bingo halls. The fact that you can socialise in more than two chatrooms online with people from around the world is a huge advantage. In comparison to traditional bingo halls, you can interact with people from all around the world instead of being limited to your friends and family around town.

3. Online Bingo Is Easy

Online bingo is extremely easy to play, much easier than traditional bingo. You learn at your own pace and there are many experienced bingo players that are willing to help you learn the game. The live helpline function is a major benefit as well. You’ll be able to ask questions online and get answers immediately from live help. Instant games are also very easy to play; you could play for free or for real, allowing you to easily add some money to your account.

If you're not a fan you should give it a shot and watch it for a couple of weeks, there has to be a reason why so many people of so many ages, races and sexes watch it.
